steampunk watch. will texture and do shaders today, shape needs some refining - also some watch hands etc [edit] still working on the face parts and some shader stuff - also the glass scratches need to be flatter thinner and want to model some weld joins on wristband parts. [edit2] Ok that's done, could have worked on the leather a bit more and the metal shaders but that's enough of 'steampunk watch', time for steampunk zombie - sweet!

Blocked out model
Here's the blocked out ship model - brought it into zbrush and played with polishing and clipping brushes without much luck. Maybe more refining in Maya then bring back in and detail might be the go. Clipping is an especially ugly business - Prob best at early stages when playing with shapes. Clipping is prob a design tool only. [update] - Some more work starting to take shape

Beyond Claw Mountain
C & P from devient art too lazy to say anything else except old and new look pretty much the same apart from the detailing. Main rock was a MR render - If I redid this would probably backlight more and make the rocks dark.
"Same techniques as Claw Moutain. Some 2.5 D elements. Zsketching (with zbrush) then comping back into original image. Main rock was an old pencil paper sketch that has been kicking around for a while so wanted to include that in a painting. Compositionally its a bit contrived/ overly staged with all the rocks pointing at the tower. Also went up to 8k way too early and was adding fine detail that when you look at the whole image just can't be seen.' Also spend a lot of time fighting JPEG artifacts from original photo of the pencil"

Playing with brushes in Photoshop CS5 - undecided - they are fun tho ;) definitly a step in the right direction and not as confusing and sluggish as painter. Photoshop speed and interface with painter brushes - yes that would be nice.
UPDATE: second one is the finished image and by finished I mean I am sick of doing it

Ok here's my merman WIP - why am I doing a merman ? blame Adrian Moyes or maybe it was me. Anyway it was started and now I need to make it good. This is also part of an underwater thing - maybe started by Tariq - went something like ' I need todo an underwater picture' going to try and avoid the rays and caustics or at least minimise them
Tariq made me do it
Art will be dumped here plenty of it unfinished - hopefully this will force me to finish some stuff
